College Companion is developed independently by Edward Rees. What started out as a simple passion project to help decide on the University he would attend, previously named the College Selector, the project has grown into the College Companion. From purely catering to students applying to University, the project now targets users as they embark on their University journey. From the beginning, researching and applying to University, to their time at University, tracking their progress, with their GPA, Four Year Plans, and managing their networks.

The Developer, Edward, is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Francisco, who earned his Bachelors in Computer Science and his Masters in Teaching. Additionally, Edward serves as a Member of the Board of Directors at a Non-Profit based in San Francisco, built to teach Computer Science and Programming to high school students.
